I have a beef with makeup and the meaning women give it, so snorted at this:
“To those who deeply value what it means to be a woman, spiritually, biologically and emotionally, the rejection of beauty feels like a rejection of womanhood itself.”

I was wondering, does haiku allow for visual play, too? For example the last line "and": would replacing it with a em-dash, semicolon, or colon be allowed?
