SOME of its actions are indefensible?! Which ones? Bombing schools? hospitals? Murdering doctors? nurses? teachers? journalists? women? children? #auspol #IsraeliWarCrimes

Not a single sip of water or bite of food has reached two million Gazans for 24 days.

We are now experiencing a true famine before your eyes.

What awaits this world?

read this and then if you feel helpless or sad or determined or anything, go find one of the many, many fundraisers by Gazans and help them. Just do one thing, help one person. Help more if you can, but whatever you do is something!

Student mobilization around Gaza was countered by (a) large donor mobilization against the students and (b) targeted congressional hearings.

The modern American university system, after decades of defunding higher ed, is MUCH more attuned to the will of Bill Ackman et al than of the student body.

I had someone try to sell me rare books that had been stored in a garage that had recently been part of major floods. Kept asking for prices that were not 'this is already pulped, please throw out.'
I will never forget (or forgive) the development folks who told someone they could donate eight boxes of books that had been stored IN A BARN and then asked me to type a list of titles and estimated value before I tossed them all because, as I mentioned, they'd been stored in a barn for YEARS
