Just a reminder Paralives December release is early access. The game isn't going to be complete. I see people mentioning it since the recent EA buyout news. I want people to adjust their expectations. I no longer purchase early access games because I want the 1.0 (official release) experience.

and I'm still feeling unsure because even though I've made a conscious effort the last few years to diversify my content more, Sims is still a huge part of me and my channel. I guess it's a matter of seeing what happens.

about AI and diversity in games. It also puts a lot of people (like Kayla!) in a tricky spot because it is their livelihood. Personally I make very little from being a Sims creator (basically I don't pay for packs - I'm not big enough for people to actually use my creator code)

If they make steps to cut diversity from The Sims or fire artists to push generative AI, that's where I'm going to cut ties and I think a lot of people will. Not just players but people in the EA Creator Network. Obviously I don't know every individual but I know a lot have strong feelings

I’m not saying it will be a disappointment for what it is, you just can’t expect from the Paralives team what you would from The Sims team because they’re different games with different priorities and a huge difference in resources available.

I’ve been saying for years we need decent competitors to The Sims and now it’s more important than ever.

Paralives coming out in December will be great but it’s also important for us Sims fans to not put all our hopes in it and then be disappointed and put that disappointment on the indie devs.

I am worried about this change in EA ownership. I won’t jump to any major decisions yet, but will keep an eye on things and if it seems to be going in a direction opposing my own values, I will have to cut ties with The Sims and EA.

I started editing a video I recorded in April and spent about 10 minutes doing that before going "oh yeah I hate editing that's why I haven't done it yet" and just closing Resolve.
