WTAF?!

So frustrating! My doc sent me for a brain MRI w/contrast for a bunch of new neuro symptoms. Imaging saw "headache" and decided I didn't need contrast. Then they found a tumor so I had to go back and do it with contrast like doc ordered in the first place. Maddening! I hope you get answers soon.

Another conversation just reminded me of another option. Is the tendon superficial, like in your wrist/elbow? There's a topical NSAID called Voltaren gel (diclofenac) that's safe for people who can't take it orally. It's for arthritis, but I've used it on angry tendons and even post-op inflammation.

There are other less expensive brands out there. They're the most well known/research backed. I don't have standard arthritis either, but something in the RA/Lupus realm. I'm pretty sure chronic inflammation is chronic inflammation. But eating every 2.5 hours would make it a waste of money.

Yes. An ND had me start a supplement called Wobenzym. It's proteolytic enzymes that you take on an empty stomach, and they munch away the inflammation. For me, it was as effective as the Celebrex it replaced without the kicked in the kidneys feeling. Avoid with bleeding disorders.

So he's just advocating more of what we have now, promises of tax cuts and lower prices but actually only the ultra-rich get tax cuts and the rest of us get gaslit, but there's a D next to it so we take it with a smile?

If that means livable UBI and universal healthcare, I'd take it over the current disability scheme. But money doesn't undo racism, misogyny, transphobia, etc. Why can't we have both? We've got a whole year until midterms. Why not advocate for a good outcome instead of an incrementally less bad one?

I'm a big fan of Nourishing Meals for GF baking. Her Dark Teff Sandwich Bread is an amazingly reliable recipe that I've managed to pull off even when I mis-measured an ingredient and just added more water until the texture felt right. No weights, at least in version I have (it's been updated).

Aunt is so much simpler than 2nd cousin once removed. This is the saddest attempt at a gotcha. 🙄 Plenty of people have their kids refer to their relatives and even close family friends as aunt or uncle.
