I am absolutely delighted that Middle and Old English are preferred language options on this intake form. Time to bust out that Chaucer and Beowulf knowledge and give the English major translators some contract interpreter work!

I've been celebrating each time Cretaceous Rails passes a Harry Potter-themed game on the overall BGG rankings, but as a former member of the LDS church, I also want to celebrate having now passed all 104 Book of Mormon-themed games in the database, ha ha!

36 years ago on this date, friends of ours were there at the site when the Berlin Wall came down and sent my family this little artifact piece of it as a keepsake of Reunification. I've kept it all this time and thought I'd share it across my social media today just because it's interesting!

Taught my mom group Amerigo. It’s a magical day when people get to play a Stefan Feld game for the first time! We started with this one because one of the moms just picked it up at a garage sale for $15.

Monthly Age of Steam game was the Spades map designed by my friend Clef Hayward, who has a new map coming out in the next Deluxe Expansion. Cool trick-taking mechanic on this one we were all into! My friend Jess won for the first time and was super stoked!

Played Star Trek: The Adventure Game today. Played this with my youngest today. It's the second game I ever bought with my own money - purchased for a buck at a garage sale in 1992. Delightful paragraph-based adventure game! His Feds beat my Klingons though! boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/3095

My bank has a bunch of posters up celebrating Hispanic heritage and I wound up at the teller window with Sylvia Rivera. I was there to deposit a check made out to my deadname! I was feeling uncomfortable about the situation and immediately started smiling instead. How serendipitous was that?

Played the Ukraine map at my monthly Age of Steam game. I won a narrow victory playing pink with a lean loop network that protected against the Civil Disorder action and by only taking out five loans total!

Cretaceous Rails passed Dinosaurs of the Lost World overnight on the Overall BGG rankings. Dinosaurs of the Lost World is my all-time favorite dinosaur game so this is a special accomplishment for me!
