Not one single candidate or their team , in this years #GE24 , knocked on my door. They threw leaflets through the letter box but none brave enough to face questions.

Why are we so slow to get results in Ireland for the GE? In the UK, the count is far more exciting as the results come in promptly.

This is so wrong. Murder victims families shouldn’t have to put up with this. There would be uproar if this man had murdered and didn’t belong to a terrorist organisation. Victims and survivors of the troubles are asked to turn a blind eye to too much.

I’m not sure how much I really trust opinion polls , however the only opinion poll that really matters is the ballot paper.
Housing is a huge concern of mine. I have adult children, on good salaries, yet struggling to buy anything more than a 1 bed!! How do lower incomes stand a chance!
Last @irishtimes.bsky.social Ipsos poll has FG on a 6pc drop although it’s basically now aligning with we’re all other polls have three big parties, ie, around the 20/20/20 mark. Technically they’re showing in last place but it’s all within the margin of error…

I so understand this. The McConville family just want to let their mum rest in peace and to grieve and live their lives privately. Their wishes should be adhered to.

Mary Lou wants Sinn Fein to stop being asked about the IRA…..bizarre, when their party is full of former members of the IRA who could give answers to families but refuse to. Unfortunately for families who lost loved ones at the hands of IRA, we must keep asking them.
