The end game of this was always "we have to end women's sports to protect cis women from trans women."

I hammer at this periodically, but the fear-mongering here isn't just about anti-trans rhetoric, but about promoting an image of cis women as delicate flowers.

Im not super bothered by what Andrew Schulz has said these last few weeks complaining about being called out, I just wish his comebacks were actually insightful and funny. Comedians who complain about being criticized tend to never actually be funny... Interesting how that works

Yeah, basically, if the president tweets about the “great economy,” but simultaneously people are taking a year to find a job amidst hundreds of applications and there’s less food on the table, it’s going to cause friction.

That’s because proximity is a better communicator than statistics.
@imanibarbarin.bsky.social i feel like I've heard you say this often, that Dem messaging can be very poorly thought out if it doesn't match lived experiences

"Across Texas, residency applications in ob-gyn dropped significantly. Data from the Gender Equity Policy Institute revealed a fifty-six-per-cent spike in maternal deaths in the state between 2019 and 2022."

Aside from how wild this is to say out loud… the fact that he’s saying this to, I assume, Black people who are probably parents is even wilder.
Trump HHS nominee RFK Jr.:

If you give Black children “resilience” then “the inevitable racism” will “bounce off” them like they are “the Avengers” because “they will be immune to it” and “then we don’t have to stop racism altogether, because we’re never going to be able to do that.”
