One week ago—with half an hour of notice given to the union, and in the midst of bargaining for our second contract—the National Women’s Law Center announced it would be eliminating 20% of staff, laying off 32 of our colleagues (including 21 members of our unit).

NEW: BLS released its employment data for March—but the numbers are misleading, because it fails to count thousands of jobs that are on their way out the door because of paid administrative leave or paid severance. They're covering up these numbers to make themselves look good—but we see through it.

Hey y'all. I'm not sure how active I'll be on this platform (I'll probably mostly just promote my fiber arts blog here!) But I figured trans day of visibility is as good a day as any to make my first post. If you didn't know, I'm trans, I'm here, and I can't/ won't be made invisible. Happy TDOV!
