The AR wearables space is moving faster than most of us can keep track of. For our own sake and anyone else’s, we thought we’d try to line up what we’re seeing out there right now.

The most thoughtful tech people hold two opposite views at once: excitement about what's possible alongside real concern about what it might actually do. This tension isn't a weakness. It's necessary for creating better, more human-centered technology➡️ open.substack.com/pub/anrk/p/a...

Gradually over the past decade, the screen has become real life. You look up sometimes, at the world around you, and its like taking a break from life. But then you go back to the screen. Thinking out loud about this in the long term → anrk.substack.com/p/the-world-...

Thinking out loud about how the processing power that once required a room-sized mainframe now fits in a pair of glasses. But although smaller seems more efficient, how can we quantify the real cost of innovation? 🤔 anrk.substack.com/p/the-parado...

We’ve been working on an #AR #AI language learning tool for some time, but now reworked it for #SnapAR #Spectacles. What feels really frictionless about this is pointing as an input method, giving us a contextual understanding within a scene 1/2

Quick experiment with Snap Spectacles and spatial anchors: bringing plants to life and letting them tell you what they need! Maybe worth expanding further by integrating AI and some basic gestures to make interactions with houseplants more engaging? Giving them personalities.

The ISIS Prisons Museum (IPM) is a virtual space, combining digital storytelling with interactive presentation to raise awareness about the crimes of ISIS and help reveal the fate of those who disappeared in its prisons. Please explore their website for more information: www.isisprisons.museum/en
Raqqa’s municipal stadium once provided a space where the city’s children played sports. From 2013, after ISIS turned it into a security prison, it was known as the “Black Stadium Prison” or simply “the Stadium Prison.” It became a place of darkness and horror.
