New research shows that the incidence of ectopic pregnancy among people seeking abortion is extremely low.

The same study found that the 3 history-based screening criteria used in medication abortion care does not reliably identify ectopic pregnancies. www.whijournal.com/article/S104...

We have over 100 studies that prove that abortion pills, including mifepristone, are extremely safe.

We can’t stand by as anti-abortion groups continue to undermine established science.

Pregnancy and childbirth carry significant health risks.

The Turnaway Study found that when people are denied abortion care, they’re more likely to experience poorer long-term physical health, including diabetes and hypertension.

Abortion bans hurt everyone.

Abortion bans and restrictions create cascading effects that extend far beyond reproductive health care, compromising the quality and effectiveness of medical care across reproductive and non-reproductive specialties.

1 in 5 abortion patients have to travel outside of their state to receive safe, essential health care.

Imagine driving 8 hours to see your dentist or boarding a flight to see your primary care provider. It’s absurd.

Abortion is essential health care.

Did you know that six in ten abortion seekers in the United States are already parents?

They know precisely what it takes to raise a child, and often decide to have abortions to ensure they have enough resources to support their existing children.

This is good news, but as @jessicavalenti.bsky.social & @mintimm.bsky.social explain, it doesn’t mean the administration’s approach to abortion has changed.

As long as mifepristone is approved, the FDA doesn’t really have a choice but to approve the generic too.

The FDA has approved a generic version of the abortion pill mifepristone, expanding its supply at a time when the Trump administration is under pressure from abortion opponents to sharply restrict access to abortion medication. www.nytimes.com/2025/10/02/h...

@autonomynews.co received a tip yesterday about concerns that the FDA seemed to have made some sort of change regarding mifepristone.

As it turns out, it wasn’t bad news—a new generic has been approved.

NEW: On Tuesday, FDA approved a new generic for mifepristone from Evita Solutions. The FDA also modified the shared REMS for mifepristone to include the new generic. You can see the company's announcement here: www.evitasolutionsllc.com

Regardless of what kind of “review” or “study” the current administration conducts, it won’t change the facts: medication abortion has been proven safe and effective, again and again, for decades.

Denying abortion has lifelong consequences. People forced to continue pregnancies face higher risks to their health, more financial instability, & fewer opportunities to pursue their goals.

People will always need access to abortion care later in pregnancy.

Young people, people with chronic health conditions, and people who have been recently pregnant often need more time to discover they’re pregnant.

One in four abortions is provided by telehealth, and shipping medication is largely what allows people living under state bans to obtain care.

That’s why anti-abortion activists have been pressuring the FDA and HHS to further restrict abortion pills.

Don’t let the junk science from the radically conservative EPPC institute confuse you.

Mifepristone is among the most thoroughly studied medications approved by the FDA. A strong scientific consensus affirms its safety and effectiveness.

People rely heavily on telehealth care to access medication abortions – even in states with bans.

Now, the current administration's FDA and HHS are coming after providers’ ability to mail abortion pills.

Mifepristone, one of the two drugs commonly used together in a medication abortion, is very safe and effective.

The attempt to block access to mifepristone is about limiting abortion access and controlling patients. It has nothing to do with science.

Q: What has happened to medication abortion since Roe v. Wade was overturned?

A: The total number of abortions nationally has slightly increased. Medication abortion via telehealth now accounts for 25% of all abortions.
ansirh.bsky.social
Q: Isn’t medication abortion the same thing as Plan B?

A: No. Plan B is an emergency contraceptive pill that works just like other birth control pills to prevent pregnancy.

Q: Are IUDs, hormonal implants, and the pill forms of abortion?

A: No, no, and no. IUDs, hormonal implants, and the pill are all forms of birth control. Anyone who tells you otherwise may be trying to ban birth control.
ansirh.bsky.social
Q: When can patients choose this option?

A: The FDA has approved the use of medication abortion in pregnancies up to 10 weeks, but research shows that medication abortion is effective at up to 12 weeks of pregnancy.
