Technically it was put forward by Turnbull/Morrison in the 2018 budget. But they never legislated it. Then Labor announced it would not be pursued in the Albanese/Chalmers 2022 budget. And now, backflip 🤔

The gummint mandates 4.5% of the workforce have to be unemployed to benefit the economy then force those people to live below the poverty line.
That isn’t support.
That’s cruelty for the sake of it.
