Bad situation but partly Europe’s own doing - plagued by its own lack of resolve, glacial response times, empty rhetoric, lust for cheap LNG. There was much the EU could have done since the beginning of the war but simply hasn’t. Your “kind of lifestyle”, like all forms of liberty, isn’t a given.

One good thing about the Trump "presidency" is that it revealed just how many supposedly respectable organizations are a bunch of spineless boot lickers, although... truth be told, in the case of FIFA or the Olympic Committee we already knew.
