Is she enjoying the diet?

Gimli was improving on it until The Other Thing happened...

Have you checked with the addressee?

I've had several cases where RM kept saying "we'll let you know when it's delivered" long after the addressee had actually got it!

IMPORTANT

All freelancers, self-employed, creatives

This is the first I've heard of this, but the Department for Business and Trade is running a consultation on the scourge of late payments, they want to introduce new legislation to tackle poor practices

Do cats ask each other such questions?
🤔
whimsicalmuse.bsky.social
Someone asked me why I talk to my cats because, in their words, “It’s not like your pets understand what you are saying.”

Suffice to say, there comes a time when a friendship has simply run its course.

Exactly. A lot of what's called "intuitive" is not really intuitive at all - it's just familiar.

Which is kind of the opposite of intuitive!

Reinventing the Arduino Yun ?
🤔

Of course, as always with these manufacturer's figures, you probably can't actually use all those IOs and all those ADC channels at the same time!

Biggest AVR seems to be 16 ADC Channels & 86 IO;
Biggest STM32 seems to be 42 ADC channels & 107 IO:

But that's down to the chip - not specific to Arduino.

(there are STM32s with huge pin counts)

and since when was the quantity of a chip order measured in gigawatts ?
antronicsltd.bsky.social
Indeed - Very true.

Similarly for #RaspberryPi: there are many lookalikes - including plenty cheaper and/or higher-spec - but none has the community of RPi.

Another attraction was not needing an expensive debugger/ICE.

But, again, this now comes included in most chipmaker devboards, and free tools are widely available.

So, perhaps Arduino has had its day ... ?

As you say, one of the early attractions of Arduino was its low cost relative to "regular" development boards.

But that's no longer true: chipmaker boards like the STM32 Nucleos are now cheap and readily available.

"a 'multi-year, multi-generation' partnership with OpenAI that will see the ChatGPT maker deploy 6 gigawatts of Instinct GPUs."

Since when was quantity of chips measured in gigawatts?

What does that even mean?
