That must have been quite an experience. I saw some Kestrel fledglings in our local wildlife rehabilitation center once. They were very sweet

In India I often had crows dropping food stuff into water bowls (sometimes quite yucky dead lizards and stuff) Sometimes they came back to eat them, sometimes not. Sometimes I got so grossed over I changed the water before they could do anything!

It was a treat! To see the Great Bustard (Otis tarda)in Bratislava recently.

At first backlit and far away, the air haze was too high. Then one flew right towards us.

A lifer. My #977th #birds species as I work towards a 1000! Kid me is so excited! :D

My very first one!!
Gosh it's a beauty.

After all I'd read in children storybooks it was spell binding seeing how beautiful they are.
