i think the big hurdle for a lot of artists making the move from twt to here is perceiving less likes as less human engagement. but actually the opposite is true: you're more likely to get human reception here than on [the corpse of] twitter, because the high amount of bots = artificial likes

make sure to take time to be proud of your work and lift yourself up as an artist. a mistake i made was being so hard and overly critical of myself that it became really difficult to see any of the good things in my work. pat yourself on the back sometimes its good for the soul
