Hello to anyone reading my posts! I never used Twitter but I thought it'd be fun to try the less toxic equivalent to shout my opinions into the void. Maybe I'll get a reply! I'll use this account for politics, news, and general amusement with witty or insightful comments (at least I think they are).
The dream of Mossadegh was freedom for his people. Freedom from foreign powers, from the Shah & superstition. The Ayatollah is not good, theocracy is not good government. I want freedom for the Iranian people. Trump will destroy that freedom if he meddles & puts the Pahlavi family back in power.

Legitimacy is a topic that's very dear to me. I've been asked what a loss of legitimacy looks like. We see it now. When people do not see the gov as legit they disobey in whatever way they can no matter how big or small. The People are increasingly seeing Trump's actions as illegitimate.

Some people are asking what the ICE officer should have done if not shoot directly at the driver. The obvious answer being to shoot out the tire of the vehicle. You can disable a vehicle without killing the driver. But his aim was up not down. He shot at the driver, not to disable the vehicle.

When I originally bought my TV I didn't like that it made me download an app on my phone to activate it. But being able to control the TV from my toilet is a luxury not even the greatest of Roman emperors could have experienced.

Reposting because people need to remember Trump's racism isn't new. We as a society look back on how ridiculous and hypocritical it all was and still is. They lost the culture war back then, they will lose again.
