Army culture is built on command, which at Brigade and ⬆️ basically means command by combat arms officers. Other branch and functional area Os will have tremendous influence on the battlefield. I can make an infantry leader much quicker than a space operations or EW expert.

It’s pretty emblematic of today’s US Army, if you didn’t go to jump school, Ranger school, or some kind of SOF course, people question whether you were really “in” the Army at all, thus a whole bunch of officers who could be helpful self select out

To me, (US ER doc) RSI means induction and NMB given in rapid succession, no positive pressure ventilation after NMB.
I usually induce with ketamine, NMB with 1.2+ mg/kg rocuronium.
No *routine* cricoid pressure (youtu.be/j8mr3GXOGyE?...).

The US gives the Israeli military at least $3.8 billion per year (sometimes there's extra thrown in).

This is $3.8 billion that the Israeli government doesn't have to add to their own military budget, freeing their taxes to pay for things like healthcare and education.
