Like this tweet is quite literally the epitome of “what if we let the cult of the operator run defense policy?”

everything else aside it is very funny that as subtext this dork thinks military academies (whether service or SMC) are the ultimate way to produce officers when the reality is there's basically no quality difference between them and ROTC grads in the aggregate

So this analysis is wrong and a huge "it depends" in if you are someone who is a thinker and not an arguer.

Nazi Germany royally mismanaged its technological development because that reflected the value and structure of its government and the goons in it.

Also they ran just incredibly awful commentary with incredibly shawty evidence (which I’m sure will become feature at CBS now). For example, the author of this piece claimed the Allies won WWII with inferior technology minus the atomic bomb lol

Great assessment.

I just wish the authors of such a clear minded assessment had the ability affect Pentagon policy, maybe by approving responsible nominees for important roles or rejecting the clearly unfit.

We’ll never know.

Deb and Roger - in their retirements - have shown us a path at least.

200 years ago, Clausewitz wrote the theory on the back-and-forth nature of war and the dynamic of move-countermove in his seminal work "On War."

Charli xcx is realizing his vision.

Clausewitz wrote the theory, Charlsewitz xcx will do the praxis.

"with the exception of the atomic bomb" gets me every time, because a) lmfao and b) we spent more money on developing the plane that dropped the bomb than on the bomb itself, which was objectively the most advanced airplane in the world in 1945
