So true. I am blessed with bountiful beauty here in the pac northwest. Water and islands in one direction, the majestic Mt. Baker in the other. Definitely helps me through this insane time we are experiencing.

As you know, wood is our inspiration. In this particular carving, I used a walnut slab that I had been storing for over 10 years. I was waiting for the perfect carving to use it. Yellow cedar Nautilus. Approximately 2 ft by 3 ft.
