I feel like I should clarify that I poorly paraphrased that study. It focused on empathy and found that being transported into a fictional narrative increases empathy. So my brain knows those things didn’t happen to me, but it do be gettin rocked by a good story pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC...
