Also, if you didn't vote down-ballot because you opposed both leading candidates in the top election, you're not fooling anyone. You were lazy.

His last name is Kenobi. He's probably Obi-Wan's brother or cousin or something, got the robes as hand-me-downs.

True, but there's also this old story about a boy who keeps lying so much people stop believing him even when he tells the truth. I think we are witnessing that on a governmental/societal level.

And in the BLS case, there's a lot of (admittedly) anecdotal evidence to lead people to disbelieve.

Since this comment was made, I've learned more about why David Hogg is a POS, so I'm not really interested in defending him.
I still never got a clear answer on what was unfair about that election, but at this point I don't really care. He can kick rocks.
Cheers.

The Republicans have gone from slowly ratcheting the Overton Window to the right... To now towing it at breakneck speeds behind a lifted, coal-rolling F-150 with truck nuts and a decal of Biden bound and gagged.
And Democrats are trotting along behind them, trying to keep up, like an abandoned dog.

Point of order: ICE invaded Los Angeles and Portland before they invaded Minnesota. They were resisted in similar fashion there.
That said, ICE really ramped up the aggression in Minnesota.
I suspect whatever city they turn their sights on next may get it even worse.
We are all in this together.

I'd prefer if they'd stay in their seat but actually vote against the Trumpists (gives a 2-point swing rather than 1), but I'll take what we can get.

War is war.
And war crimes are war crimes.
I'd be less inclined to hold Obama accountable if he had held some of those under his command accountable when those protections failed.
In any case, I am still more focused on Trump right now. Present threats before past grievances.

I'd prefer sell no bombs to anyone, but apparently that's an unrealistic expectation of "perfection."
February 12, 2026 at 6:40 AM
Sorry, you're right. He only said he'd try to stop bombing civilians ~2013. Which he still failed to do.
I misremembered and thought that "promise" was before the 2008 election.
February 12, 2026 at 6:38 AM
I wasn't even talking about selling bombs. I was talking about dropping them ourselves. And torture.

But, since you brought it up... Yeah, I'd consider us an accessory to those other war crimes, too. Maybe we should be more selective about who we sell weapons.

Bill's father, Donald Barr, got Epstein his job as a teacher at Dalton's.
And Bill Barr AG when Epstein died. He was alleged to have visited Epstein in lockup, but fact checking shows no evidence of that.
I'm unaware of any other evidence or implications on Bill himself, but... It sure smells fishy.

Sorry, I thought it was a war crime when Bush tortured prisoners and bombed civilians.
I voted for Obama in 2008 because he promised to end that. And then he didn't. He did it more.
War crimes are war crimes. I don't care what party they were committed by. Prosecute them all.
February 12, 2026 at 5:54 AM
We point out Bush's war crimes, but then just ignore Obama's, because he was charismatic and a Democrat.
Not to mention that the FBI has known about Epstein for 20 years now.
They are *all* implicated in the miscarriage of justice.
