Heathrow is truly an amazing melting pot, a joy to arrive in, but dear god, it is a total nightmare of tunnels, baffling elevators, and utterly horrid signage if you want to actually escape the airport.

Three days to wrap up closing our Nova Scotia house, and fly back to England. So what does NS (and climate change) deliver?
Will our road get plowed before Tuesday?
Will NS Power cut us off in the next 24 hours?
Will my return flight be cancelled?
Will every hotel for miles be filled up?

In Canada your access to COVID-19 boosters varies from province to province, and face masks have almost disappeared in hospitals. In the UK you need to be 75 to get a free booster..
In France though, they'll help out by letting your contacts know that you'been infected.

First time I was ever in a beer parlour was at the Willow Inn in Kelowna, in the days when beer + tomato juice was a thing, and there were salt shakers on every terrycloth covered table.

#NovaScotia folks: do not, under any circumstances, accept NSPower's "estimated" bill. Ours was just reduced from $456.67 to $12.54.

Air Canada just asked to rate them. A half hour later, at the very end, I'm told that I can't participate in future surveys unless I have Canadian phone number.

Shopping for a storage unit in #NovaScotia. Yikes. What a nightmare. This was the kicker though.
1) $68.00/trm - what the heck is trm? A month?
2) PLUS! $8.99 a month for "unit protection plan".
3) Plus, of course crazy NS taxes.
Total: $87.77 a month for a 5' x 5' box.
