I don't have the nationwide stats but in my area there is like 2 big manufacturing union employers but the overwhelming majority of union households are gov't employees and construction trades that won't benefit from tariffs.

Hickenlooper I think was No on cloture Wed. evening before most Dem senators were publicly No on cloture. But it could just because he is up for reelect.

This might be the former campaign staffer in me, but who is going to knock doors?

Pro-fossil-fuel messaging is basically like

"but don't you LOVE going to the laundromat? having your own washer/dryer at home is overrated" and yet people eat it up.

They are not members of the House Oversight committee. This letter is just all of the Oversight Dems.

I think maybe this is my bias showing but social media ecosystem is English language not USA focused, so the adversarial nature of UK democracy, where the only power the opposition parties have is to kick up a big stink and attack, has changed our views of politicians jobs.
