We both wanted to burst out the door this morning. Snow! Cold! Clear skies! To do that, I cleared some of the snow on the porch (boot prints), then Liz added her wheel chair tracks: out and back with a perfect circle pivot at the far point. Mobility is important! We laughed. I danced. She smiled. ❄️🩵

What was dinner? Leftover pork loin, seared then glazed with a maple syrup, garlic, & Dijon mustard sauce with roasted sweet potatoes and Brussels sprouts. We both enjoyed it, so it’s going into the winter rotation. A small spoon of cranberry sauce would have been a nice complement.

It was mild but gray, so I visited the Garden of 1,000 Buddhas this afternoon. As always, it was beautiful and peaceful.

Greetings on a blustery, gray day here in the Jocko Valley. We stopped at the farm for eggs, and were greeted by the 2 alpaca and 5 sheep from which my daughter got the raw wool she’s working with now. The photo of them was mandatory. Hope you ALL are having a good Friday.

Clair Kemlo snapped the first pic up the road at Flathead lake. We have much less drama here with all the artificial light in town as shown in the second photo. Still, it’s a good showing!

I had planned to make the chickpea soup @Goodport posted the other day, but time and energy were short today. I had some leeks and potatoes that needed to be used, so voila: a basic potato leek soup. It made vats of soup, so I’ll be freezing at least three meals’ worth. DD loved it, always a plus!
