While the delicata squash & chicken finish roasting, I took a brief trip to check on the hood. It’s mid-fall here, & that means yellows, golds and reds below with snow and clouds at the higher elevation. The palette looked dark and chilly. With the cold front & wind tonight, things will change.

Back then I was too scared to do the bus thing. I got to
Yale once (I didn’t like it either), Dartmouth once (meh), Harvard to visit high school friends, and Amherst, mostly for skating for PE at their indoor ice rink. I was more of a bio nerd & too hard working trying to cover my expenses.

I did not know it continues. Yes, Jackson. I was applying for fall 1970 so the gendered schools were just going through the blending process. You should have seen my dad when they told him dorms were coed at Pembroke/Brown. 🤬😡 I ended up at Smith: all women and two hours west of Boston.
