Tyranny, like Hell, is not easily conquered.
Despite what Stephen Miller thinks, moral justification and trustworthiness are more strategically important than sheer force.

I don't think POTUS or SECDWARF realize how many US military members would sabotage an invasion of Greenland.

Venezuela was one thing, but a lot of people have worked with the Danes in GWOT, esp. senior leaders. You want us to kill the people that joined us in responding to 9/11??

Trump is 100% going to blanket-pardon his co-conspirators as soon as he realizes his time is up.

The next president and Congress must finalize the Rome Statute, giving the ICC jurisdiction in the US so these a*holes can't dodge justice.

The treatment of migrants has been crimes against humanity.

I am truly impressed by the resistance put up against Trump. Little old ladies will always be able to do more to stop tyranny than some 33 year old operator.

Keep up the good work and do more. Resistance movements are always a few steps behind the despot.

I admit I have been a bit salty this week. Shutdowns are hard. Potential for RIF is even harder.

My focus is still conservation. With so much lawlessness by those in charge, I have lost focus.

Here’s the secret: it all matters.

We are the solution.
We must show up.

It takes all of us.

Your regular reminder that Russia had term limits when Putin came to power

A quarter century ago.
Trump is looking at 2028 and he has to figure out, how does he circumvent or avoid the rule that he can't run again. I think one of the ways he's going to do that is to create what's perceived to be a real crisis in America."

This fake title change is confusing. Legally he's SecDef but people keep calling him SecWar?

I say we just split the difference and his title can be SecDwarf

What an embarrassment.

A morbidly obese orange dementia patient and an alcoholic that can't do a pull up whining about beards but not doing anything to stop dudes that drool dip-spit into plastic bottles during meetings while talking.

Why does hearing Trump speech over the speaker in the PX remind me of Half Life?

Petey 8 months ago: "I'll quit drinking when I become Secretary of Defense"

Petey now: "I'm not SecDef, I'm Secretary of War"

Was this entire thing a ruse so he could day-drink?

Sources say likely.

Apparently Pete "I'll dead-name you but you gotta call me SecWar" Hegseth's military is ok with hazing but can't handle people being mean on anonymous social media accounts.

I don't think Hegseth deserves to share the same title as Mattie. Petey can call himself whatever idiotic thing he wants.
September 30, 2025 at 1:23 PM
Honoring the perpetrators at Wounded Knee is disgusting and embarrassing to the military.

I wish I had no idea what Hegseth is doing, but I understand it perfectly.

Declaring Antifa a terrorist organization is reminding me of the "they're teaching Critical Race Theory to kindergartners" thing

You guys don't really know what you're talking about, huh?

I don't support violence except in very rare cases. We aren't there yet.

However, Charlie Kirk saying gun deaths are unfortunately going to happen after Mass Shooting number #1544759 really makes it hard to feel sorry for him.
September 10, 2025 at 7:41 PM
Pete Hegseth would like to be referred to by his chosen name of Secretary of War.

Since we aren't a snowflake military anymore, please do not dead-name Hegseth by calling him by the name his Congress gave him, which was Secretary of Defense.

I'm kinda in shock at the amount of featured right-wing outrage porn on my parent's suggested YouTube videos on their TV.

I don't think they go out of their way to watch it, but there it is. they definitely don't try to block it, either.

And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family?

"Alligator Auschwitz" will at least have a nice ring for the history books

After watching that parade, I'm pretty sure Trump is going to announce a Special Military Operation to liberate CA.

They'll take LA in 3 days.
June 15, 2025 at 11:07 PM
The soldiers I know in DC are not happy about being there. They realize it's dumb and don't like looking like fools in front of civilians. They aren't allowed to go out because their leadership is afraid of confrontation, so they're sitting around doing nothing.

As many people are fond of pointing out, you can order police and Ice gear online.

Most of these units are not wearing standardized uniforms and are fully covering their faces and have no name tape.

This is insanely sloppy and amateurish.

Accountability is for the Out group, not the In group.
The 9:30am deadline came and went. And the government did not file anything. Mahmoud Khalil must be released. Anything less is continued unconstitutional detention.
BREAKING: Federal judge rules Mahmoud Khalil will suffer irreparable harm in detention & cannot be detained or deported based on Marco Rubio's determination. The judge ordered his release on bond by June 13 unless the gov't appeals by then. Historic ruling in this historic case.

I don't think there's an Alt-ICE account yet if anyone working in ICE wants to get on that, @altnps.bsky.social could use the help.

If you're in LA, just remember that the National Guard doesn't want to be there either.

The best thing you can do, besides peacefully obstructing illegal arrests, is to talk to the NG like they're normal humans dealing with a frustrating boss.

Imo if a business can count as a person for the rights they get, shouldn't they be held critically liable as a person?

Trickle-down liability. C-Suite gets the biggest punishment, then lower and lower levels get less and less.
