Every bit of evidence of Maduro being a "dictator" arises from what we have done to that country, or what they have had to do in response to defend from US aggression and meddling, for the unforgivable sin of not letting us have unilateral control of their oil.

The fact we allow anyone to talk about Venezuela as if they exists in a vacuum, as if every choice their people and leaders make aren't colored by the existence of the US and the mass campaign of aggression we have leveled against them for decades, is fucking maddening. It's shameful.

The ONLY thing I have seen anyone cite as evidence for Maduro being a "brutal and oppressive dictator" is the (highly contested) claim that he "stole" an election. As if there could be such thing as an unimpeded election in an Official Enemy of the US, here in the real world where the US exists.

It's totally tautological, totally cyclical, the proof of how bad the "bad guys" are is all the ways we're allowed to make the ordinary functioning of their government more difficult as long as we call them bad guys first.

This is the explicit regime change playbook every single time and nobody ever seems to point out how the US spends billions interfering with every government that won't play ball and give it unilateral control of their resources, and then treats the obvious outcome of that like a natural phenomenon.

And most frequently when they say "evil dictator" their evidence is all the ways they have actively made life in that country worse and more difficult through extralegal killing and brutal sanctions so they can blame the state of it on their leader.

I know everyone gets very hostile about pizza discourse (they are doing it about NY pizza in here already) but there really is something special about a good tavern style that I think you really have to try for yourself to understand, so thank you for standing up for it.

This is why they shouldn't let lawyers have twitter if they don't know how to handle it. He gave the PR answer but in that sneering way you use in online arguments where you make it clear you don't agree with what you're actually saying, but forgot he was talking to a journalist.

Not to mention that cracking relics is genuinely so satisfying of a gameplay loop, especially when you get a good squad and try to cooperatively speed run an extraction while making sure everyone nabs enough reactant along the way. I love when games encourage you to naturally work together like that
