This is the third time Ring has backed off of some Orwellian practice because of public outcry; in the two previous cases it went right back to the evil as soon as the uproar died down. There is no reason to suspect this will be any different.

I see no reason not to look at the online gambling and prediction market craze as a new opioids crisis.

I can't overstate just how much of a disinformation weapon X has becomeand it's being targeted at trans people in particular. A 6 year old video is going around being passed off as the shooter. Fake images are circulating like crazy along with outright genocidal language.

According to multiple NYT sources, it wasn’t even military personnel at Fort Bliss that fired an anti-drone laser at alleged cartel drones. It was CBP who used the weapon on loan from DoD against a child’s party balloon they mistook for a drone. The Pentagon gave CBP an anti-aircraft weapon.

Back-to-back cancellations of talk show staples like The Kelly Clarkson Show and Sherri have heightened fears that video podcasts are coming for traditional TV. Podcasts have already been taking a greater share in the media space, as the shows are able to land the same high-profile guests (take Michelle Obama on Call Her Daddy or Leonardo DiCaprio on New Heights). At the same time, they command a broad reach on YouTube, and now on platforms like Netflix.
