Enjoying my new bitcrusher here. Meant to sidechain in a kick but forgot to hit play before recording, oops. I think the Serum key patch I made sounds better in lower octaves, so I’ll probably keep to that if I actually use it.

I kinda miss when it was more common for friends to live near each other. I guess that’s an age thing as much as anything else, people scatter as they get jobs and start families and whatnot.

What happened to Affinity makes me sad, how are Krita and GIMP these days? Main use is album art stuff (usually working with stock photos) and really basic photo editing. I know Krita is focused on painting, but it looks a lot cleaner. Thoughts?

Dug out the joystick I made explicitly to control the Wavestation VST and others with similar controls. It’s my favorite part of the Wavestation but I don’t have the space for the real thing. Not to mention that editing the software hurts much less.

Omnisphere 3’s new bass presets made me realize I am not even remotely in touch with what modern mainstream electronic music sounds like. I’m like “what the fuck is this, how does this even work in music”. I’m sure they’re almost all useful for something.

I have a new song out in two days and feel bad that I haven’t had the energy for promo, even though it’s partially because I had two weeks of pretty debilitating medical issues in between announcement and release. I’m better now, but I’m just so tired.

whenever I run into a reproducible crash in Live (especially when it’s easy to trigger) I just want to throw it through a wall. please sandbox plugins, guys.
(I have Bitwig and Reaper, no one needs to sell me on them, they just haven’t worked as well for me)

Highest on mine is 2,192 (Streets of Rage 4 soundtrack) but I don’t buy a lot of “mainstream” music on there.
