The main thing that doesn’t feel done yet is user preset handling - you can’t set any metadata (author, tags, etc.) so they just go in one big list. It’s awkward working with them, especially in large numbers. The fancy visual preset browser only works with factory ones.

It’s good! Not everything is quite fully baked, but for the most part it’s like Absynth 5 with some sound improvements and a MUCH nicer interface. Programming it feels a lot less janky than 5. No more weird things to drag to set numbers, for one. It’s modern Absynth and that’s what I wanted.

Honestly, once I got an iLok dongle it became one of the less annoying DRM schemes for me. Don’t need to worry about a hardware upgrade screwing me or whatever. Obviously I didn’t like buying it, but everything more or less just works now.
