I do not understand why software developers hate what they do so much, beautiful well written deterministic code is lovely, it’s art in many ways, why are you all relying on a random stochastic system to do what i assume you once enjoyed, are you just that capitalism pilled.

ai is just as bad for software devs as it is for artists in terms of stolen work and labor impact but software engineers are notoriously blind to this type of stuff. it's gonna bite in a big way soon.

the only code a chatbot can write is rudimentary and requires constant oversight lest it become undebugabble, I can write that better AND faster myself. most of its usage I see is solving local environment issues, which should be designed out, not painted over.
