not exactly *lads* but definitely on the way to artillery scales.

yup. i haven't been keen on dealing with traffic to get it in direct eyesight but i do check if there's any advisories or live feeds.

you've probably seen these images i've shared before.

your mileage may vary. The number of Liberals is still the largest demographic but Leftists have the most intersections with the rest of bluesky.
October 15, 2025 at 9:27 PM
and looking outside the US: "Liberal-Conservative" is the default big right-wing party in some nations. Not unprecedented

Then there's the resurfacing phenomenon of having to explain the delineation of "capital-L Liberal" from "Leftists"

(for context these images are at least 5 years old)

basically: if you "assign" someone a politician they don't actually like odds are that'll contribute to making you less convincing or be taken as an ad hominem and there'll of course be people who don't like *any* politicians.

not hard to see dislike of Starmer from the left-flank either.

I see i see 📝

Yeah i should've specified the money quantity is what's magical. What it is spent on is within the mundane realm.

I do agree it's not that complicated. But i'm starting to see just how much lawyering just a handful of less direct new criterias can summon.

i have heard arguments that the 2011 Duke is not just a flanderization of previous Dukes but also an unfaithful depiction where he doesn't actually care at the end of the day.

This hypothetical Duke 2025 sequel would get those grifters in a twist by saying 2011 isn't canon :P

One of my personal favorites in its role/playstyle. Still figuring out how i want to paint it.

they do sort of have Patlabors but they're typically all either:
- ultralight mechs: primarily security/civilian
- "ProtoMechs": niche military uses.
- Battle armor: Aesthetics aside it's still just power armor. it's nowhere near Patlabor scales

As for 40k walkers i could think of some parallels.

anyways this is a whole lot of words that can be summed up as contemplation to explain the evolution of:

"weird ref art" --> "much better but now all the refs are a little samey".

Bonus: FASA got a japanese studio to make their own takes but CGL are unlikely to do that again due to legal trauma

The unification is great in my view but the linework & surfaces do end up being more similar/convergent.

The images shown upfront in each sarna_net mech page are from in-universe reference guides so they are uncolored & usually are less varied/ambitious in posing in favor of reference-type clarity.

*FASA-era: whatever artists they can get for a given batch of art. Less cohesive
*MW3: brief moment where they leverage the incohesion & depict clantech as relatively sleek/advanced
*Current: proper unification in both tabletop models & art for wider appeal. With MWO doing their own divergent takes
