I suspect the reason she is transmedicalist is that external validation by diagnosis stabilizes identity by fixing its boundaries. "My identity feels unstable" becomes "Their identity is invalid".

Hot take: minstrel shows were entertaining af. Music, jokes, familiar format. They weren’t the No. 1 form of American entertainment from like 1840 to 1920 JUST because the country was super racist.

I was at the laundromat today, and an old woman was loudly telling her husband that she thinks Trump has Alzheimer's. I'm starting to hear this kind of stuff more openly in public lately.
