Trump’s not going to invade Venezuela within the next year because he doesn’t have anybody lined up to do it with. He’d need at least a couple divisions, and planning something like that takes months and involves all sorts of action by the Army or Marine Corps that hasn’t happened.

Worst thing about most mainstream coverage of the AI bubble is that they’re treating it like building industrial overcapacity rather than as an investment scam that dumb CEOs are falling for out of their desperate, greedy desire to diminish headcount.

One reason I didn’t have more of a journalism career than I did was because I made less than no effort to befriend sources. I had actual friends, and when I left the office at the end of the day they were the only people I was talking to. Heck, I mostly didn’t like fellow journalists.
