I’ve spent 2 weeks gathering refs and lining up ideas for a mere 12 pages comic. Not for necessity, but for the pure joy of it. You need to be a real bozo to think that this part of creative process is worth cutting corners on, and special kind of dumb to think your random AI prompt can replace it

I think the fundamental gap here is that non-creative people think that creative people make things for the end product, when in fact it’s the act of creation and not the end point that makes it worthwhile.

There is no good reason to use gen-AI to write "placeholder text". The whole point of placeholder text is that you want to replace it later, so ideal placeholder text is very easy to spot and unambiguously out of place. All Gen-AI does is provide something that pretends to be the real final product.
