I have been kindly invited by the organisers of the 10th Congress of Anatomopathology (SIAPeC-IAP) to give a talk about the challenges of AI applied to Digital Pathology, from both a computational and an ethical point of view. Very nice experience, and the venue was rather intimidating!

I have been appointed vice coordinator of CONVECS – COmuNità VEneta per il Calcolo Scientifico. Funded by the Veneto Region, CONVECS involves 5 partners (UNIPD, UNIVE, UNIVR, INFN, IUAV) with the goal of establishing a regional infrastructure for HPC, enabling computationally intensive research

I had the privilege to attend the Ministerial Dialogue on Scientific Diplomacy at UNESCO. There's agreement on the most compelling issues: climate change, misuse of biotech, unfair AI, disinformation, space regulation. Althogh some powers push in other directions, we need more science in diplomacy
