Just had time to properly read this brilliant piece by @benansell.bsky.social. It left me even more convinced than I already was that what he calls Labour's (and indeed the Conservative's) "prole-whisperers" are horribly mistaken if they genuinely think chasing after Reform voters is the way to go.

I'll have more to say on Reform's proposals to scrap ILR at some point but for now I'll just note this - anyone telling you this is a popular idea doesn't know the polling. Overwhelming majority of public back giving people who work and pay taxes most or all rights after 5 years or less

I fully support the UK, Canada and Australia's recognition of a Palestinian state.

It is not a 'reward' for Hamas. It is rightful attempt to preserve the only model that could achieve long-term peace amidst Israel's inexcusable colonisation of the West Bank and destruction of civilian life in Gaza.
