I think it was more about knowing something happening *before anyone else*. News eventually reached everyone, just late.
I felt that as soon as I let go of the expectation that I should know all breaking news early, it was easier to accept being here

we’ve had a whole lot of twitter exoduses before but this one sure feels sustainable in a way others have not, it doesn’t seem to be slowing down and I’m seeing a whole lot of communities on here I’ve never seen before
