Travelling a lot, sampling food/cooking, a deep interest in politics. Trying to see how the wealth ‘trickle up’ can be reversed. Mostly in Canada, but scanning news from the South with dismayed amazement. A strong no to Oligarchs!
100% tariffs on China? When does China simply suspend exports to the US for 6 months? They can have a worldwide bargain sale!

And not a single flag officer walked out. That is disgusting.

AI is only Average Intelligent. It is an instant compilation/distillation of online source with very little done to screen bogus or idiotic data. You get a product full of hedging, qualifiers, and answered are weighed on the prevalence of data.
The only bright spot: diagnostic medicine.

50% tariffs on Brazil is really an additional tax on Americans. There is logic based on trade imbalance. Brazil imports more from the US than it exports to the US. Welcome to "Regime Change International....we bully them good". Ridiculous.

Canada should suspend Aluminium exports o the US for 60 days, then re-assess. In the meanwhile there are markets elsewhere who need well priced metal now.

Harvard could open a campus in Canada. That would provide stability and countless opportunities for both the institution and students.

The markets are yoyos, but with this much action the string will break. Treasuries 10yr yield reached 5%. “Something is happening here although it ain’t exactly clear…”
I hope the economy can avoid going Thelma and Louise.

China can suspend all sales and shipments to the US for 90 or 120 days. It will be easier on them than dumping US Treasuries. Let Walmart deal with the unrest.

Time for China to suspend all shipments to the USA for 90 days. They can take the pain and they have other buyers for a deep discount type of clearance sale.

Threatening the EU and Canada at the same time is priceless. It seems to me that dictating other countries political and strategic policies is an overreach. This ‘in your face’ “diplomacy” will not last.

Trump is bitchy about reconquering US markets for US producers. This is exactly what Canada has done for both eggs and dairy. The market is served by Canadian companies for Canadians.

My 2 largest rockets explode successively. They rain toxic garbage and cancel flights with lawsuits incoming. I have not been to the office in ages as I am DOGEing in D.C. My stocks are tanking. What does an ethical Company Director do? Coming soon to the conscience of Space X Directors….

Canadians should persist in a "buy Canadian" campaign. The attacks on sovereignty by 47 will go on. CANADIAN ARE CANADIANS, POINT FINAL!

Canada will stand together and strong. We apologize to our American friends about the discomfort this will cause. But we will not be bullied. Unlike the current administration we take our international treaty obligation seriously. WE DO NOT WANT TO BECOME A STATE!

There is an easy way to right the trade imbalance with Canada. $170 billion mostly for bituminous oil destined to India and China but refined and processed in the US. The rest of the trade deficit consists of: minerals and energy.
What Canada can do: suspend energy sales by flipping a switch.

I always thought that North Korea would, in time, trend to the South Korean model. I did not expect South Korea to trend towards the Northern model, and blame it on internal sympathies by lawmakers for the North. Tortuous logic!!!!
