I don’t wanna hear any MAGA state they support Veterans EVER again!!!!
Veterans Crisis Line workers have been fired. Suicide prevention training is being canceled. The system meant to save lives is being gutted—because Trump and Musk care more about their war on government than they do about Veterans.

DOGE screws Veterans!

Just when people need her most.
I’m sad to learn that my law school classmate, Kiah Duggins, died in the DC plane crash last night.

Kiah was an exceptionally talented civil rights lawyer and aspiring legal scholar.

I hope you’ll read about her work and the causes she cared about, some of which I’ll 🧵 below.

What an immense loss

The true leader, as Jesus shows, is not concerned just with “us” but with those considered as “them.” That means everyone who is considered “other,” “different,” “strange,” “foreign,” even “unworthy.” A meditation on today's Gospel: outreach.faith/2025/01/a-tr...
A true leader helps the poor and marginalized
Jesus’s first words to his friends in Nazareth are not about how he will comfort them, but how his ministry is for all. It therefore incurs their wrath. As it does today.

If you’re in an institution doing any kind of DEI work, the most important thing to do right now is simply call it something else. Change it to “Community Outreach” & then keep on doing the same important work. When they outlaw Community Outreach rebrand it as “Strategic Partnerships,” rinse/repeat.
