Energy nerd and software developer, in that order.
Same here, except with sweaters I take out of the drawer that I haven't worn for a year. 😷

We got a Kenmore induction range years ago when that was the only option. It's amazing, and I'd never go back to another form of cooking. That said, I've seen newer ranges with features like timer shut-off that I would definitely use if I had them!

Here's an example of the alternate orientation for a retail store. You'll have to forgive the rainbow color scheme!

Nice! I still have some JSL energy heatmap scripts from 2013! I found them easier to interpret when X=Time of Day, Y=Date, and Z=kW. You can tell a LOT about a person from their energy heatmap... ;)

I love everything about this model. It's about activating people to vote, not a particular candidate or race. And Stinnett brings the data to prove that the behavioral nudges work. Here's the link for those that are as intrigued as I am. www.environmentalvoter.org

These disclosures popped up sometime last year, though it's not clear to me whether they have any impact on a paper's acceptance. The authors might admit to using AI to generate text, but how long until we see data that is wholly fabricated? And who is likely to admit it?!

Love the Kobo AND Dorothy Sayers! I've never seen the color model. Is it still e-ink?

Time zones are awful, but the event that broke our smart-meter-data stack twice a year was always daylight savings time! Customers would always get weird double-blips in the fall, and gaps in the spring. 😖

I read Death And the Conjuror and The Murder Wheel just last week after seeing them recommended here on BSky. Enjoyed both immensely! I love that they give a knowing wink to the genre and the authors that came before....
