I think you're correct, sadly. In my 85 years, I've never seen anything like it. But I do know change comes from the bottom up. Are there enough of us at the bottom to create the change. Paulo Freire spirit, come to reassure us.
We're becoming an authoritarian right-wing one-party state and we didn't even need a coup this time out. Just a bunch of shitty newspapers and massive sellouts across politics/civil society

I immediately felt sick.
I’m also angry that this tragedy has been so politicised.

It is demeaning to all Jews to weaponise antisemitism by comparing Islamic State, trained in the Philippines, to anti genocide protests. IS hate all of us, not just Jews. To sow division and hatred is what they do - and it is now what Frydenberg has done, divided us when we should be unified. Shame.
