Does today's Strands puzzle from the @nytimes.com have anything to do with recent threats from the orange one or is it a complete coincidence?

A thread that illustrates why Noel Skum is not as clever as he thinks he is.
saw a post saying we're not gonna see a human land on mars in our lifetime.

i mostly agree but wanna sort of point out why.

getting to mars: ez. solved. we've done it dozens of times with satellites, rovers and stuff. getting to mars has been solved for 60 years.

Just listening to the first Rolling Stones episode and I'm sorry to have to point out that Ready Steady Go was an ITV programme and not BBC. The BBC replied a year later with Top Of The Pops.

If you had a time machine would you go back in time to the 1920s to stop Hitler becoming chancellor or would you go back to the early 2000s to stop Trump getting picked for The Apprentice?
February 3, 2025 at 3:49 PM
Trumps motives. My theory:

Impose tariffs
Crash markets
His cronies buy shares/stocks that are now trading at reduced prices
Reduce tariffs
Watch markets restabilise
Value of shares/stocks increase
Sell shares/stocks
