Why can’t Dems actually act on anything! Walz with his Guard notice is a perfect example. Order them up immediately, sweep those Nazi fucks up, remove their gear and put them in a bus for Texas.

That’s easier said than done with the federal supremacy clause.

It also sets up the exact scenario that the Trump administration wants - clashes between state and federal troops. A reason to enact the Insurrection Act.

My list of concerns at the moment:

- The administration intentionally trying to incite violence with ICE.

- Iran (will the US and Israel intervene and take advantage of the chaos?)

- Taiwan. I feel like Venezuela gives China the green light to go after Taiwan.

I think we’ll likely see a lot of resignations before an invasion of Greenland.

Venezuela is quite a bit different than moving on a NATO ally.

Trump has reportedly ordered special forces to plan an invasion of Greenland, but the move is facing resistance from military leadership.

What is it going to take for Republicans to stop him?
I realize they’re inept, fearful, and unprincipled, but is there a line he can’t cross?

Should this give us hope or are they simply trying to save their seat in a difficult district?

I think both can be true. If we can get subsidies extended for 3 years, that helps a lot of people with their pain.

That being said, they’re just trying to save their own asses. This isn’t any kind of meaningful resistance of Trump.

Thanks for spending part of your Saturday with me. <3

This is precisely how you should respond to a bullshit investigation.

“This new threat is not about my testimony last June, or the renovation of the Federal Reserve Buildings… this is a consequence of not following the preference of the President”

Just a heads up, folks:

AMA will be tomorrow evening. I’m just so mentally drained and disappointed in humanity after this week that it probably wouldn’t be any fun to ask me questions tonight.

Think about how insane this 24 hours was:

- Miller talks about seizing Greenland

- White House says “force is always an option” (against a NATO ally)

- Administration sends Rubio to walk statements back through Congressional leaks that we want to *buy* Greenland, not invade.

Europe has already stepped up quite a bit, and I wouldn’t discount the amount that Ukraine is able to do domestically. They’ve got one of more impressive drone (both air and sea) programs out there. They’ve also really ramped up their missile production capabilities.

When T/GOP refuse aid to Ukraine- can/ will Europe step up?
How soon before will T/GOP start fighting on Putin's side- publicly?

He’s definitely talking about the insurrection act - that was always the plan if SCOTUS didn’t let him use the Guard as his personal military force. He’s going to look for a reason to invoke the Insurrection Act and bypass their ruling.

He’ll probably try martial law before he’s done. Won’t work.

There are rumors, yes, but I have to stress that none of them seem very substantial right now.

There were rumors that he’d step down for most of his first term, too - granted, he’s in much worse shape this time around.

The Senate will be tough. No point in sugar coating that. We should still do everything we can to take it back, but it’s important to set realistic expectations.

At his current approval ratings, the House should be an electoral bloodbath. We obviously can’t get complacent, but I feel good about it.
