Can't believe this song is 35 years old.

One of mine was 'no problems' but last date was 2023; one was 'problems,' also 2023, no follow up inspection, and one had a couple big bad warning letters, but nothing since the warning letter in 2022 :(

I just realized, while looking up Sweeney Todd videos on Youtube, that Johnny Depp kinda got to play Edward Scissorhands twice. Not sure if that's good or bad.

ugh, synced Zen to my Firefox account and apparently it deleted the synced multi-containers data, so now even on Firefox it's lost the saved data for a lot of sites that were under containers that no longer exist :(

Just went to download the Zen browser beta to give it a whirl, and the website threw confetti to celebrate.

I like these people already.

Had healthy food today (curry salmon bowl) and my stomach rebelled, so tomorrow I think I'd better get pizza to heal it. Or something with ketchup. Anything with lycopene in liquid suspension will probably do the trick.

Warning about Google's AI infestation having spread to GMail:

I'm in Gmail on my phone, deleting all mail that has "Atlassian" in it. I get to the bottom of the page, it resets and shows me more, so I start deleting those.

I lived in Portland a while back. Thinking of the people and places I knew in Oregon and in Washington, hoping everyone is okay.

I don't live in Arlington, but I live so near I often shop there... or *did.*
Will try to avoid it even if it means going out of the way, now. But it also means paying closer attention to what Grand Prairie, Mansfield, and Irving are doing, since they get most of the rest of my shopping.

This season's EFF shirt choice is one of two they had before but they also include free laptop stickers. I already had the mouse shirt, so I'm looking forward to the one that looks vaguely circuity. Circuitous?

Modern Market claimed they wanted feedback about a recent meal, but it seems to have been in service of trying to add an AI slop review to Google:

The server where I read about all the latest outages from admins in the trenches... apparently relies on Cloudflare.

Funny, I was just musing there a while back how services were seemingly falling over in alphabetical order. AT&T, AWS. And now Cloudflare.

The loss to taxpayers is only going to get worse as the data center bubble grows, especially as many newly finished ones sit empty without enough power.
This will also be worse than the mass abandonment in 2001-3, because more power plants are being built that all ratepayers will be on the hook for.

It would look better without the tag on the side, but how else are people going to know you paid a lot of money for it? 🙄

If you're tech support for family and friends who have to use/upgrade Windows, something else to worry about:

Windows 11 possibly turning on Bitlocker if they sign in with a Microsoft account, etc., even on the home version, without warning or permission

BitLocker reportedly auto-locks users' backup drives, causing loss of 3TB of valuable data — Windows automatic disk encryption can permanently lock your drives
Safety measures became an insurmountable barrier.
