Cuts to ‘Access to Work’ threaten the entire creative sector. These cuts are an existential threat to disabled creatives, the disability arts sector, and all disabled people in work in general. Our staff team, partners, colleagues, freelancers & artists depend on Access to Work funding. We rely on Access to Work to enable our work and projects to even exist. Without this funding, we would be unable to support anywhere near as many disabled artists as we currently do, or to continue to create the groundbreaking work we’re known for. At present, this support is being cut without reason or explanation and in a move that’s completely counter to the government narrative of ‘supporting disabled people into work’.
