HEY EVERYONE REMEMBER WHEN TRUMP WAS IMPEACHED FOR DENYING AID TO UKRAINE BECAUSE HE WANTED ZELENSKY TO LIE AND SAY BAD THINGS ABOUT BIDEN AND ZELENKSY WOULDN’T DO IT?

Maybe literally one fucking American newspapers could mention this in their, “think pieces,” about what happened yesterday.

Im kind of inclined to think that this is not a conspiracy theory.
Has Kubernetes been an inside job by Google this whole time?!

Probably not…

But you can still hear more of @quinnypig.com and @mistermocha.bsky.social’s tech conspiracy theories on this all-new episode of Screaming in the Cloud!

Many liberals are comparing Trump to the fascist leaders of the 1930s. But a better comparison would be Roman emperors like Nero and Caligula.

Few colleagues from another country came to visit us today in Riga. They had the opportunity to experience the cold, damp and windy weather, grayscale sights and sunset at half past 3.
Feels like they are starting to understand why we are always so depressed :)

Two unpopular opinions:
1) MS Teams is the overall best collaboration/messaging software
2) Jenkins is the best (only?) automation software (not the best CI/CD tool though)

I’ve been getting daily follows from mysterious accounts (bots) in the “bad place” for more than a year, and it was refreshing to see that here, if you get a notification, it comes from a real person. That is until today…which most likely means that bots have started their exodus as well :(

After trying out BlueSky for couple of days, it feels close-knit, fresh, and unlike Mastodon, does not consist of just 5 accounts trying to make it work.
Wonder how it will hold up in the short-term and long-term. Potential is there, but also a huge risk of becoming (being?) an echo chamber

Netflix was not able to keep up with the traffic is not something I was expecting to hear this year. For pretty much whole of my DevOps career, Netflix was seen as “the” example, of how to do DevOps, how to manage load, do chaos engineering and deliver a rock-solid, reliable service.
