Likely part of the problem is that many institutions don’t have policies in place.

Likely part of the problem is that many institutions don’t have policies in place.
I think much like anything else such as stock photos and Photoshopped images, it depends on what it’s used for and how. I’m not against websites using it, if done appropriately.

If not bedbound, then I'd set up a comfortable place (such as the couch) for reading, watching TV, and interacting with others. Better than feeling stuck in a single room. At least 1-2 weeks worth of "entertainment" to start. And comfy clothes that's easy to get in/out of.
