What do people know about this? Were these people actively around today and arrested, or are they using the photos they're taking to find people who are resisting fascism and arresting them?

Look what they let us bring to tonight's Wolves game.

🧵If you're reading this from outside of Minnesota, Minnesotans need your help. The federal government is murdering civilians on our streets and that's not all. It's worse than what you see on TV, than what might appear to be isolated incidents.

I know lately I've been less weather, more news - but yikes. 3 degrees with 38mph wind gusts and a windchill of -20 -- and this is the warmest it'll be until Sunday in Minneapolis. Be safe out there. #MNWX

The propaganda machine is really running strong on Facebook - somehow I've seen posts from every major federal government agency like this in the past 24 hours. Is this just me or is this some sort of dark alliance between these agencies and Meta?

I'm behind on weather - but you might have noticed it's snowing. Expect around an inch in the Twin Cities, possibly up to 2" in some locations from this quick-moving storm system. #mnwx

Waking up even more angry and tired today. Hopeful that a Minnesota BCA investigation leads to arrest.

I didn't realize they were griping about this from all of their accounts. Maybe ICE will end up having to build lodging, which can then become housing and solve the housing crisis when the MAGA fever (hopefully, someday) breaks?
January 5, 2026 at 10:48 PM
More possible freezing rain or wintry mix tonight in the Twin Cities and beyond. Could see minor ice accumulations starting this evening, but moreso overnight - and also some light slushy accumulations. #mnwx
January 5, 2026 at 10:46 PM
ICE is mad. Glad to see this - appreciate Hilton for taking this step in Minneapolis/greater Twin Cities.
January 5, 2026 at 10:42 PM
Actual freezing rain outside vs drizzle might make it slick outside in Minneapolis and St. Paul. Be very cautious - and another wave is coming. #mnwx

Does anyone know what these extra charges are from Xcel? "Sales True Up" and an affordability charge, plus a resource adjustment and interim rate adjustment? Somehow $38.75 becomes $64.38 which then becomes (not in screenshot) $73.39 after city/state taxes and fees.

A quick 0.5" of snow or so coming through the Twin Cities right now. We really needed to freshen up this fresh snow. Another similar amount Wednesday morning. #mnwx
December 30, 2025 at 12:26 PM
Well.
December 28, 2025 at 5:37 PM
Another key indicator of higher totals is this early radar image showing snow already nearing the Twin Cities:
December 28, 2025 at 2:19 PM
Minneapolis snow forecast: I'd say 6-7" seems like a good number but there is a chance if cooler air intrudes to bump those totals into the 8-10"+ range. Total precip supports those totals. The wildly ranging totals in screenshot are raw model output from the ISU Meteogram generator. #mnwx

This wind! 🥶

Just had my most ground blizzard-like run ever around Bde Maka Ska and Harriet. #mnwx
December 20, 2025 at 6:12 PM
Small amount of snow coming to Minneapolis - but expect big winds (30-40mph) + dropping temperatures this afternoon. Not a great day to be outside in Minnesota. #MNWX
December 18, 2025 at 7:12 PM
Don't worry, another half inch of snow is coming momentarily to Minneapolis. #mnwx
December 12, 2025 at 12:53 PM
Latest high-res models showing those higher totals REALLY close to Minneapolis - as in northern Mpls might be in them, south Mpls might be as well. Looking like a very sharp gradient dependent on where/if rain/freezing rain sets up between 2-3" of snow and 4-6". #MNWX
December 9, 2025 at 7:20 PM
I missed this - but we're at our earliest sunset time in Minneapolis right now - 4:31 p.m. We'll be here until December 15, when we finally add a minute instead of subtracting, to 4:32 p.m. Baby steps. #MNWX
December 9, 2025 at 5:54 PM
Looks like today's snow should start midday. Slight risk of rain or freezing rain briefly ahead of snow - very borderline. 2"+ of snow likely by Wednesday. Note the sharp increase in snow totals as you look north! #mnwx
December 9, 2025 at 12:50 PM
Worth mentioning that there's a quick-moving line of snow headed toward Minneapolis right now - could be 1/2 inch or so, and this is not part of tomorrow's storm. #mnwx
December 8, 2025 at 11:37 PM
An inch or so of snow is likely Tuesday - enough to complicate travel. But... there's a slim chance of more. This NWS graphic explains it well. #mnwx
December 8, 2025 at 11:34 PM
Another weak system arrives Friday, which could make morning and later travel by car difficult. Models, as usual, vary - this 3KM NAM is a go-to of mine and has some of the higher totals, still near 1"+ of snow, maybe up to 2" for some. HRRR arrives closer to 9, NAM closer to 7. #MNWX
