This is true and real in my eyes, but I'm also a guy who just natters about in creative mode for hours building megaprojects and occasionally putting them in friends' survival worlds, so my perspective on most systems in Minecraft that aren't block placement is usually "that exists?"

Depends on how into RLCraft you are, apparently - back in the day I used to be a big Tinker's Construct guy, but these days the je ne sais quoi just isn't there (and that's less a combat overhaul than "adds new weapons"). That said, clearly the answer is that Minecraft combat can be fixed with guns.
